HUAWEI P40 series released - 90Hz refresh rate With Leica five camera system

HUAWEI held an Online Global Launch Event on March 26, 2020, bringing the new P40 series mobile phones that still focus on fashion appearance and image functions. In addition, the HUAWEI P40 series is not only equipped with a 90Hz high refresh rate screen and Leica five camera system for the first time, but also supports 5G networks.

HUAWEI P40 series phones include HUAWEI P40, HUAWEI P40 Pro and HUAWEI P40 Pro +. Among them, the HUAWEI P40 is equipped with a 6.1-inch screen, while the P40 Pro and P40 Pro + are equipped with 6.58 inches 90Hz four-curved overflow design screen and aspect ratio is 19.8: 9 , supporting DCI-P3 color gamut and HDR display.

The back cover of the HUAWEI P40 Pro + is made of Nano-tech ceramic. After 5 days of kilning, it has a seamless design and the ceramic material is very durable and wear-resistant.



The HUAWEI P40 and P40 Pro are available in Black, Deep Sea Blue, Ice White, and Silver Frost and Blush Orange with matte finish; while HUAWEI P40 Pro + is only available in ceramic white and ceramic black now. All three new models use a new generation of in-screen fingerprints, and the unlocking speed is 30% faster than before. In addition, HUAWEI P40 Pro and P40 Pro + support iP68 level dustproof and waterproof, while P40 supports IP53 level dustproof and waterproof.

This updated 50MP RYYB main camera has a larger CMOS size than before, supports octa-core full-pixel autofocus, has better dark focus performance, and the color algorithm has been upgraded from 3 to 8 channels. With the HUAWEI P40 series XD Fusion image engine,  multiple cameras can simultaneously capture different details in the scene, and the optimal result is recognized by the AI ​​algorithm, which is finally synthesized into a most expressive photo.





The periscope lens has also been further upgraded. The CMOS has become a RYYB ultra-sensitive sensor. The P40 Pro + supports advanced dual optical superzoom array. The combination of 3x+ 10x can obtain a wider range of focal lengths and supports dual OIS image stabilization. The periscope lens supports 10x optical zoom, 20x hybrid zoom and 100x digital zoom.

The HUAWEI P40 series still focuses on AI photography performance, and support AI Best Moment. Through AI to identify scenes, faces, and gestures, users can record the best photo in sports scenes; and AI Best Moment supports intelligent elimination passerby function; it can also intelligently eliminate the reflection in the photo and improve the filming rate of the mobile phone.

The most powerful intelligent front camera system of the HUAWEI P40 series is equipped with a 32MP autofocus camera, and an infrared camera that can bring background blur and face recognition functions. There is also a ambient & proximity sensor.

In terms of video recording functions, it supports 16-in-1 pixel fusion technology, and the single pixel size reaches 4.48 microns, which can get the best low-light video; The P40 series can still support 4K time-lapse photography and also support the Super Moon mode in the video function; The dual-view video function has also been retained. A wide-angle lens and a telephoto lens work at the same time, which can record different focal lengths video on the same screen. Support 40W wireless super-fast charge

In terms of performance, HUAWEI P40 series is equipped with Kirin 990 5G processor, adopts integrated baseband design, and supports eSIM card for network connection, which means that two card slots can choose one SIM card + memory card and enter eSIM to achieve dual card dual standby; The HUAWEI P40 series also supports Wi-Fi 6 Plus technology, which is faster than the P30.





In terms of charging, supports 40W HUAWEI Super-Fast Charge, P40 Pro+ also supports 40W Wireless Super-Fast Charge, the other two models support 27W Wireless Super-Fast Charge, and all three models support reverse wireless charging.



The HUAWEI P40 series is equipped with EMUI 10.1 system, which is more natural and intuitive in terms of dynamic effects.
