The HUAWEI P40 series includes HUAWEI P40, HUAWEI P40 Pro and HUAWEI P40 Pro + . Among them, The HUAWEI P40 with 6.1-inch screen, which is smaller and lighter, and weighs only 175 grams. The HUAWEI P40 Pro and HUAWEI Pro + use with the 6.58-inch 90Hz screen. The HUAWEI P40 series supports the new Wi-Fi 6+ technology, the basic bandwidth reaches 2400Mbps, and supports dynamic adjustment. In terms of core hardware, the entire HUAWEI P40 series is equipped with the Kirin 990 5G chip, which was used on the Mate 30 Pro last year. At the HUAWEI P40 Series Online Global Launch conference, Richard Yu,CEO of HUAWEI Consumer Business Group confirmed that the HUAWEI P40 series will be equipped with HUAWEI Mobile Services (HMS) to instead of Google Mobile Services (GMS).

HUAWEI Mobile Services (HMS) is a collection of HUAWEI cloud service capabilities, which is a cross-platform, cross-device service. Its official launch means that HUAWEI already has complete ecological capabilities and is considered to be the basis of the cross-platform operating system HarmonyOS independently developed by HUAWEI. Many services of HMS will be launched in overseas markets, such as HUAWEI Reading, HUAWEI Video, and HUAWEIMusic. Richard Yu also expressed at the scene that HUAWEI welcome every developer worldwide to join the HMS ecosystem together.
