Honor V9 is a newly launched flagship phone of Honor in 2017 which is famous for its performance and dual camera function. While XIAOMI 5s Plus is also very competitive compared with Honor V9.

First let’s look at the basic information about the two products. Honor V9 has a 5.7 inches display with a resolution ratio of 2K. It carries the Kirin 960 octa core processor with 4 GB/6GB RAM and 64 GB/128 GB ROM respectively. It has an 8 MP front camera and a 12 MP dual camera. The battery is 4000 m AH and supports fast charging technology. It carries the EMUI 5.0 system based on Android 7.0 system. It is 157 mm long, 77.5 mm wide, 6.97 mm thin and weighs 184 grams and there are five colors for users’ option. It sales at 2599 RMB, 2999 RMB and 3299 RMB respectively. Fingerprint identification function, VR function, dual camera, and fluent system are major features of Honor V9.
While XIAOMI 5s Plus carries a 5.7 inches screen with a resolution ratio of 1920*1080P. It equips the Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 octa core processor with 4 GB /6 GB RAM and 64 GB ROM. It has a 4 MP front camera and a 13 MP dual camera. The battery is 3800 m AH and supports QC 3.0 fast charging technology. It carries the MIUI 8 system based on the Android 6.0 system. It is 154.6 mm long, 77.7 mm wide, 7.95 mm thin and weighs 168 grams; there are four different colors for users’ option. It sales at 2299 RMB and 2599 RMB respectively. Fingerprint identification and dual camera are major features of XIAOMI 5s Plus.
XIAOMI 5s Plus and Honor V9 mainly differ in the screen resolution ratio, camera, battery and the system.
In the appearance, Honor V9 and XIAOMI 5s Plus both apply integrated metallic phone body design and put the fingerprint identification modular on the back cover. And from the pictures of their back cover and front panel, the design styles look very similar, but Honor V9 has two more colors than XIAOMI 5s Plus.
In the display, as Honor V9 has a 2K screen and applies a ultra-narrow frame design which would be more excellent in the user experience. The Kirin 960 carried by Honor V9 is a bit weaker than the Snapdragon 821 carried by XIAOMI 5s Plus, but Honor V9 is stronger in the GUP performance than XIAOMI 5s Plus. The general performance of the two are very close.
Both the two equip the dual camera functions and front cameras which both supports the facial beautification. While Honor V9 carried the second generation of the dual camera technology which would be maturer than that of XIAOMI 5s Plus.
XIAOMI 5s Plus and Honor V9 are both great in the overall battery endurance. Honor V9 supports the VR function which provides very interesting users experience.
To sum up, Honor V9 offers users very beautiful outlook, display effect, camera performance and VR experience. While XIAOMI 5s Plus has a relatively affordable price and the overall performance would also be satisfying.
